Born in Vienna, Sebastian Eyb deemed to be Austria's leading young violist. Already during his studies in Vienna, he became at the tender age of 21 first principal violist of the West Australian
Symphony Orchestra and guest principal violist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Meanwhile, since 2009 he is engaged as second solo violist in the Zurich Opera Orchestra. In addition to
his intense orchestral activity Eyb is also winner of several competitions, most recently he received the first prize and the special prize at the International Competition for Soloists Svirèl
2013. Moreover, he focusses increasingly on his solo career, such as concerts with the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie and the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne show. As a chamber musician,
Sebastian Eyb performed in such prestigious formations as the Stradivari Quartet, furthermore, he follows several invitations to renowned chamber music festivals such as the Menuhin Festival
Gstaad. Sebastian Eyb plays a viola by Giovanni Paolo Maggini.
