Pavel Kachnov counts due to his numerous soloistic successes as one of the most promising young pianists of the Ukraine. After successful completion of his studies at the National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kiev, he moved in 2009 as a postgraduate student at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in the class of Oleg Maisenberg. At that time he was already a multiple prize winner at internationally renowned competitions such as the "11th International Piano Competition, Spanish Composers'" in Madrid, the "IX. Horowitz International Competition ", the "VIII. International Piano Competition Villa de Capdepera" (Spain) and the "Prokofiev International Competition", to name just a few. As a soloist and chamber musician his numerous concert tours regularly lead him in the most renowned European music capitals. Kachnov performed as a soloist already with the Philharmonic Orchestras of Moscow, Kiev, Odessa, Lviv and Kharkiv, the Ukrainian State Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Balearic Islands (Spain), just to name a few. Also as an accompanist Pavel Kachnov obtained many jury awards from renowned instrumental competitions, such as the "Diploma David Oistrakh" (Odessa, 2004). His success as a duo partner is also reflected in numerous radio recordings, i.e., for the Austrian Broadcasting Station ORF, and concerts across Europe: he appears regularly with the likes of Krasimira Stoyanova (soprano of the Vienna State Opera) or Karin Bonelli (flutist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra) at home and abroad, always accompanied by stunning press reviews. In 2009 Pavel Kachnov also gave his debut as a conductor at the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine in Kiev.
